I received the beta and I can't contain my disappointment when seeing that the game is using Star-Force as DRM.

As a supporter I feel punished by having to use a protection system that has a long lasting fame of giving problems in the past, that has been known to cause performance issues, etc...

As much as I like this project, and as much as I understand the requirement for copy protection systems, I feel that I'm not ready for the comitment of installing a driver just to prove that I'm a paying customer, and I'm in fact ready to remove my support for the game if going with Starforce is the only option.

I urge you to please, reconsider the choice, remove completely the DRM, or move to less invasive, less problematic options.

You are referring the incidents happened in 2006? Ten years ago? This rendered the StarForce almost to non-existing without a cause. They tried to fight the rumors by offering 1000 USD to anyone, who's hardware was damaged due their protection system. No claims showed up.

As we know, hardware, especially that time, CD and DVD drives didn't have a long lifespan. So by installing some new software and close that time having a hardware failure it's easy to point the finger what is the reason. This became a snowball effect.

As an adult game developing company there isn't much choices to do - we are out from all big sales channels offering decent protection, and surely we don't want to die due piracy before we can pay salaries.

StarForce system is VERY different what it was 10 years ago and we have chosen the lightest protection model they offer. There is absolutely no risk or harm with this DRM system, we all use it as we develop the FemDomination.

Nowdays, what is the fear? Microsoft/Facebook collects huge amount of data from you and SF is based on keybind with one software - anonymously.
